Mailchimp

Included in Availo Pro. Once Pro is active, find this integration under Availo → Integrations.

Adds or updates every invitee in a Mailchimp audience, with optional tags.

Get your credentials

1. API key: Mailchimp → avatar → Account & billing → Extras → API keys. The key ends in a data-center suffix (e.g. -us14) — keep it intact.
2. Audience ID: Audience → Settings → Audience name and defaults.

Setup

1. Availo → Integrations → Email marketing → Mailchimp, paste the key + audience ID.
2. Optional Tags: comma-separated names (e.g. availo-booking) — created automatically if they don’t exist.
3. New subscriber status: Subscribed, or Pending to send Mailchimp’s double-opt-in confirmation.
4. Enable + Save & send test, then check the audience.

What is sent

Email address, FNAME/LNAME merge fields, and your tags.

Behaviour

• Members are upserted by email; an existing member’s subscription status is never changed (only status_if_new is used).
