Availo is built to be privacy-respecting by default and to give you the tools you need to comply with GDPR, CCPA, and similar regulations.
What data Availo stores
For each booking, Availo stores what the invitee provided: their name, email address, time zone, the answers to your custom questions, and the meeting details (event type, time, location, status). It’s all kept in your own WordPress database.
What Availo does not do
- It does not send your data to any third party. (The optional integrations — Google Calendar/Meet (free) and Outlook/Zoom (Pro) — only send data to the services you connect, and only when you enable them.)
- It does not call home, phone external analytics, or load assets from a CDN.
- It does not create user accounts for invitees or track them across sites.
Built-in GDPR tools
Availo integrates with WordPress’s core privacy tools, so a person’s booking data is included when you handle a data request.
Export personal data
Under Tools → Export Personal Data, enter an email address and Availo includes that person’s bookings — event, time, status, name, email, location, and every question answer — in the export.
Erase personal data
Under Tools → Erase Personal Data, enter an email address and Availo anonymizes that person’s bookings: their name and email are replaced with anonymized values, their question answers and any cancellation reason are deleted, and their manage link is invalidated. The time slot itself is kept (so your historical statistics stay intact), but it’s no longer tied to a person.
Consent and your booking form
Because you control your event type questions, you can add a consent question (for example, a required “I agree to be contacted about this meeting” field) if your use case calls for it. Your site’s own privacy policy should describe what you collect at booking time and why.
Data retention
Bookings remain until you delete them. If you want data removed after a period, you can run periodic erasure requests through Tools → Erase Personal Data.
Uninstalling
By default, uninstalling Availo leaves your data in place so nothing is lost on reinstall. If you want a full wipe, enable Delete all data on uninstall under Settings before deleting the plugin.
